Delightfully satisfying, onion rings are an indulgent lunchtime snack. The batter is made with 3 ingredients and topped with caviar, you won't soon forget these.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup flour
2 tsp Cajun Spice
1 bottle lager
1 qt vegetable oil for frying
2 onions
1 tbsp Crema Mexicana
DIRECTIONS
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 375 degrees.
- Slice onions. (Pro tip: use a fork to hold the onion in place while cutting rings).
- Mix dry ingredients (flour and spices) together for even distribution.
- Stir 1 bottle of lager into flour.
- Batter should not be too thick, and should evenly coat onion rings.
- Dip onion slices into batter, and then drop into the skillet.
- Once the ring rises to the top of the skillet or turns golden brown, flip for evenness. Do not overcook in skillet or oil will cause the batter to fall off.
- Remove from skillet and transfer onto paper towel to dry.
- Drizzle with Crema Mexicana or your desired condiment.
- Top with ROE Caviar 30 or 50 grams.
